Luke Chapter Two (The Heart of David)

In this bible study, the birth of Jesus, and Jesus as a 12 year old boy. This chapter ends with Jesus growing in wisdom, stature, and also growing in favor with God and man. This is the key to the Heart of David. King David, a former shepherd’s boy, was/is notoriously a man after God’s own heart. If applied personally, the Heart of David would be a personal decision to pursue ultimate physical, mental/emotional, and social health according to God’s Will for your life.

Jesus is clearly in fulfillment of this pursuit at the end of Luke Chapter Two as he is described above as being in the process of growing physically in stature, mentally/emotionally in wisdom, and socially through favor in both God and man. This description would be the the pinnacle of reference for any man, woman, or child to be blessed with or described as.
